I Am Loved and Worthy - a gentle reminder for the heart that keeps doubting itself

There are days when we question our worth quietly.
Not out loud.
Not dramatically.
Just in the small moments.

When someone leaves our message unread.
When we compare ourselves to others online.
When we feel behind in life.
When we give so much love to everyone else, yet struggle to believe we deserve the same in return.

And somehow, without realising it, we begin to treat love like something that must be earned.

But the truth is this:

You are loved.
And you are worthy.
Even before you achieve more, fix yourself, become prettier, richer, smarter, or “better.”

Your worth was never meant to depend on productivity, appearance, or how useful you are to other people.

You are worthy because you exist.

Love Does Not Have to Be Earned

Sometimes we grow up believing that love only comes after sacrifice.
After perfection.
After becoming everything everyone expects us to be.

So we overwork ourselves.
We over-explain.
We over-give.
We shrink ourselves just to feel accepted.

But genuine love does not ask you to abandon yourself.

The right people will not only celebrate your strengths — they will also hold space for your softness, your healing, your tired days, and your imperfect moments.

And most importantly, you should too.

Speak Kindly to Yourself

Imagine speaking to yourself the same way you speak to someone you deeply care about.

Would you still call yourself lazy for being tired?
Would you still say you are failing just because life feels slow right now?
Would you still believe you are “not enough”?

Probably not.

So today, try replacing harshness with gentleness.

Instead of:

“I’m not doing enough.”

Try:

“I am doing what I can, and that is enough for today.”

Instead of:

“Nobody truly cares about me.”

Try:

“I am loved in ways I may not always notice.”

Healing often begins with the way we speak to ourselves when nobody else is listening.

You Are Still Worthy on the Hard Days

Not every day will feel beautiful.
Some days are messy, emotional, unproductive, confusing, and heavy.

But even then:

  • You are still worthy of rest.
  • You are still worthy of kindness.
  • You are still worthy of love.
  • You are still worthy of taking up space in this world.

A bad day does not reduce your value.
A mistake does not erase your goodness.
And being human does not make you less deserving of love.

A Gentle Reminder for Today

Maybe you needed this reminder today:

You do not have to become someone else to deserve beautiful things.

You do not have to constantly prove your worth.

You are already someone worthy of love, care, peace, happiness, and meaningful connections.

So breathe a little easier today.
Be softer with yourself.
And remember:

“I am loved and worthy.”

Not someday.
Not when everything is perfect.

Right now. 🤍

With Love, Airene Erawan
